What Does a Support Worker Do?
As a support worker, you help people live the life they choose in their own home and community. No two days are the same. Your role might include:
Supporting with personal care, with dignity and respect
Helping people plan meals, shop and cook
Supporting with medication and health appointments
Helping people manage money and household tasks
Travelling with people to college, work or activities
Encouraging hobbies, friendships and community connections
Keeping clear, accurate records
