About Normanshire Supported Living Services
We are a local, CQC registered supported living provider based in Chingford. We help adults with autism, learning disabilities, mental health needs and acquired brain injuries to live safely, confidently and independently in their own homes.
Who We Are
Normanshire Supported Living Services is provided by Normanshire Care Services Ltd, a care provider registered with the Care Quality Commission. Our office is at 87A Old Church Road, Chingford, and we support adults aged 18 to 64 across Chingford and the wider London Borough of Waltham Forest.
We focus on supported living because we believe people should have real choice and control over how they live. Our role is not to take over, but to walk alongside each person, helping them build the skills, routines and confidence to live the life they want.

Our Person-Centred Approach
No two people are the same, so no two support plans are the same. Before support begins, we take time to understand each person's history, strengths, communication preferences and goals.
We then create a support plan together with the person and, where they wish, their family and the professionals involved in their care. The plan sets out what support looks like day to day, what the person wants to achieve and how we will measure progress.
Plans are reviewed regularly and whenever needs change. We use positive risk-taking, which means supporting people to try new things safely rather than limiting their choices.
Our Team
Our support workers are the heart of what we do. We look for people who are kind, patient and genuinely committed to helping others live well.
Every team member goes through a thorough recruitment process, including an enhanced DBS check and references, before they begin supporting anyone. New staff complete an induction and ongoing training so that support is safe, skilled and consistent.
We aim to keep teams consistent so that the people we support can build trusting relationships with familiar faces.
